Royal Tutor - Episode 2

Royal Tutor - Episode 2This article talks about the second episode of the Royal Tutor's series. This is a really interesting show for anyone interested in history, because it is based around Tudor England and the life of Elizabeth I. It follows how the young Queen would be tutored by a teacher (in reality her stepfather) as she is growing up.This is a really interesting show. The thing is, the character of Elizabeth was entirely different from the very famous King Henry VIII. This is because, the female line has ruled England since before the time of the Tudors. It seems that Elizabeth has inherited this royal lineage, which does not seem to be the best role model for the future Queen! She was a seventeen-year-old girl when she went to live with her stepmother, Selena. A tenement being a true thing, it was no doubt overcrowded with everyone of the family. Then, Selena was killed and Elizabeth was left on her own with her younger brother. Although she did get some education from her br other, she was ill prepared for university. It was during the reign of King Henry VIII that she changed her life and the course of history.Throughout the series, we are given the opportunity to see how the character grows up and is ready to take her place in history. In this episode, we have been shown that she would be going to Oxford University at the start of the seventeenth century. But at the start of the series, the Royal Tutor was only a man who had died at the hands of the Queen's father, King Henry VIII. Later, as this character began to play a more prominent role, he would go on to become the Lord Chancellor of England, and he had a hand in advising King Henry on many aspects of life. As this character grew in power, he became an important part of the Tudor royal family. He was a friend of the King, and was also his best man, but he did hold a key role within the royal family. During one game, he spotted the new Queen coming out of the palace and ran over to her, intending t o kiss her hand, but Prince Henry overheard him and intervened. He declared that this lady must marry a lord.It was not until Queen Elizabeth I was married that she came to realise the significance of this gentleman. She was deeply saddened and took her anger out on her stepfather and brother. However, her frustration meant that she would be doing nothing to improve the lives of the poor. She was unable to bear being ignorant of her duties, and swore that she would repay the prince with good deeds, but would do nothing to better the people's conditions. This meant that this man, who had been a friend of her husband, would end up in the position of the Queen's chief advisor.
